To catch that fish with plastic worms, you need to practice a lot and fish as often as you can. With a lot of practice you will know when to set the hook. When fishing with plastic worms, most strikes will occur when the worm falls or hits the bottom during the retrieve. The fish's strike will be a slight tap at which time hook should be set. To set the hook lower the rod tip and jerk straight back till the rod almost hits you in the face.
When fishing with plastic worms watch your line carefully so you can see or feel the tap of the bass. Again with a lot of practice, you too can become an expert angler with plastic worms.
